On top of the ThereGate platform we build different product portfolios that provide the right services to certain customer segments. The product sets are built of a ThereGate router and a number of selected measuring devices and actuators from other manufacturers and the software tying them together to provide the required services. The different software components reside in the ThereGate and in the networks according to needs.
We already have a number of different product sets that are currently piloted by real people in their everyday life with functionalities ranging from real-time measurement of energy consumption as well as other related parameters, through optimized control of heating systems to load control based on dynamic electricity prices (Demand Response).

Tonttu
Tonttu (a Nordic equivalent of an Elf) is a product package for the owners of electrically heated holiday homes in Finland. This friendly elf takes care of your precious second home while you are away. He makes sure that the inside temperatures are as they should be and the energy consumption stays within the limits set by his master. If anything un-usual happens, the master gets a notification message. The inside temperature of the holiday home can be lowered while people are away, providing considerable savings in energy consumption. And it can be raised back to the comfort level very easily with a click on the mobile phone or a PC. Tonttu gives piece of mind to his master.
Based on the open ThereGate platform, Tonttu service will expand to cover many other useful and valuable functions to the holiday home owner.
